The hard questions

Maximize does not inject code into the game process, does not modify game files and does not read game memory. It configures Windows, from the outside, and that is what usually triggers anti-cheat detection, not what it does.

On top of that, when it detects kernel-level anti-cheat the app switches off deep sensor reading by itself, so it does not flag you.

The honest limit: no third-party developer can guarantee the behaviour of an anti-cheat they do not control, and anyone who guarantees it is lying. If one complains about the app, we want to know, that becomes a fix, not an excuse.

No. That is SmartScreen warning about an executable it does not know yet, because the installer does not have a code signing certificate yet. It is not a threat detection — it is a lack of history.

We would rather tell you on the download page than have you find out alone and conclude you downloaded malware. Only download from the official binaries repository linked from this site.

It depends on your machine's bottleneck, and anyone promising a fixed number is making it up. On one of our test PCs the result went from around 50 to 80–110 FPS, but that is one case, not a promise: on an already lean machine the gain is small, and on a cluttered one it is large.

That is why the free version exists, and why there is a 7-day guarantee with no questions asked: so you measure on your machine instead of trusting ours.

Before any change the app records how it was — your value, not a generic default, and restores on deactivate, on close, on shutdown and after a crash. If a key did not exist before, reverting removes it instead of writing something over it.

Before destructive operations (registry, services, privacy, bloatware) it creates a Windows restore point.

The app returns to the Free plan, which keeps genuinely working. And reverting is never paid: deactivating Game Mode, reverting overclock, cancelling an operation and creating a restore point stay available with an expired licence.

Charging to undo what we applied would be holding your machine hostage. That is locked down by an automated test.

Pro keeps working. Offline, the licence enters "awaiting revalidation" within a generous tolerance, never "expired".

The worst defect a licensing system can have is turning a paying customer into a free user because of a network hiccup. Also locked down by test.

One at a time, and transferable. The binding is weighted: replacing an SSD, a network card or even a CPU does not lose the licence, and reinstalling Windows does not either. To use it on another machine, you release the licence from within the app.

Rigid binding generates more support tickets than it prevents piracy.

Even before that, the free version already lets you find out without paying: it runs the complete Cleaner scan, including the categories only Pro deletes, and gives you the whole diagnostic, with the bytes measured on your own disk.

And after the 7 days nothing is locked in: reverting what was applied is never paid, not even with an expired licence, and the licence follows you if you swap parts or reinstall Windows.

Not by default. The period you buy becomes an expiry date on the licence; when it arrives, the app returns to Free and tells you. You renew if you want to.

Yes, and that is what allows touching services and system settings. Without elevation several sensor readings come back empty and several optimizations do not apply, and the app says so on screen instead of pretending it worked.

Game Mode configures Windows, so it works regardless of the game. What depends on a catalogue is automatic detection, which recognises the executables of the most played games.

A title outside the catalogue is suggested, never added on its own, and you can register your own.

It reduces what can be reduced on your machine: network adapter interrupt moderation, adapter power saving, background noise eating bandwidth.

What it does not do is improve your internet. The distance to the server and the quality of your connection remain what they are.

No and no. No ads, no usage telemetry, no profiling identifier. The product is 100% local, an older version had a cloud layer and it was removed entirely.

The only network traffic is the licence check and the update check, and both are deferred while you are playing.

Yes, through normal Windows uninstall, with no leftovers. Deactivating Game Mode first is worth doing so everything returns to its previous state — though it also reverts by itself on close.

Because counting optimizations is cheap and measuring them is expensive. Every registry key can become a list item, and a forum list yields three hundred in an afternoon. We implemented the famous ones, measured the effect, not the value written to the registry, and removed the ones that made worse what they promised.

The 47 that remain are the ones that passed. If the metric that mattered were the size of the list, ours would be bigger.

Worth adding that the 47 are Game Mode, not the whole product: Pro also brings 109 catalogued bloatware apps, 57 privacy controls, including the Windows 11 AI ones —, firewall auditing, seven disk tools and a command line.

No. Network Diagnostics measures: it discovers the game server from the process's own connections, with no injection, and shows latency, jitter, packet loss and the slowest hop on the way there. It tells you where your connection is costing you ping.

Improving your internet route is a different product, and it does not exist here. What Maximize reduces is what can be reduced on your machine: network adapter interrupt moderation, adapter power saving, and background noise eating bandwidth.
