Two different axes, on purpose: the plan Free unlocks 10 of the 47 and Pro unlocks all 47; the presets are shortcuts inside what your plan already unlocks, and Pro/E-Sports turns on 42 because the other 5 depend on your own choice (process list, accessibility keys) or only run under real memory pressure. The automatic detection catalogue recognises 78 executables of the most played games and turns Game Mode on by itself when one of them starts. Titles outside the catalogue are suggested, never added automatically, and you can register your own.

We know, one by one, what each of the 120 services on your Windows does. That is why Game Mode is smart enough to know what it is turning on and what it is turning off.
Your PC is never idle while you play
It keeps indexing files, downloading updates, syncing the cloud, holding ten tabs alive and running chat in the background. None of it matters during a match, but all of it competes for the same CPU, memory, disk and network the game needs.
The result is what every player knows: the hitch at the worst moment, aim that feels heavy, the shot that does not register, the frame drop right in the firefight.
Each spike is a frame that took too long, that is what you feel as a hitch. The trace illustrates the concept of frame time; it is not a measurement of your machine.
What it does, on five fronts
None of it reaches inside the game. All of it records the previous state before touching anything.

The real size of the product
Beyond Game Mode, Pro opens deep Windows maintenance: 109 catalogued pre-installed apps, 57 privacy controls, including the Windows 11 AI ones, such as Recall and Copilot —, firewall rule auditing, seven disk tools, schedules, a report and a command line.
The 47 are Game Mode, not the whole product.
Why 47 and not 400
Counting optimizations is easy: every registry key becomes an item, and a forum list yields three hundred in an afternoon. We implemented the famous ones, measured them, and removed the ones that made worse what they promised — three of them are right below, with the reason. The 47 that remain are the ones that passed.
If the metric that mattered were the size of the list, ours would be bigger.
These optimizations were in the product.
We took them out.
Each one was implemented because it looked like a good idea — several are common forum advice. After testing, all of them made worse exactly what they promised to improve. There is an internal list of what must never come back, with the reason for each case. These are three of them.

- A smaller input queue would mean less buffering, therefore less input lag. A widespread forum myth.
- What happened
- The queue does not reduce latency — events are consumed as they arrive. It is overflow capacity. With a 1000 Hz mouse and a queue of 20, any DPC spike above ~20 ms overflows and drops events, including the click.

- Less network latency, less bufferbloat. It appears in every “gaming tweaks” list.
- What happened
- Two failures at once. It is a TCP-only setting, and competitive games use UDP — it never touches the traffic that matters. And it only applies after restarting the interface, which Game Mode never does: the value never came into effect.
- The worse detail
- Our own verification screen reported “applied”, because it read the registry instead of the effect. Placebo that looks like a gain.

- Turning off the kernel dynamic tick would make the timer more predictable and reduce jitter.
- What happened
- It increased interrupt and DPC frequency. The result was microstutter and more irregular frame time — exactly the opposite of what was promised.

- Verify the effect, never the value written to the registry.
Purging standby memory before playing also left the presets. The cache is useful: emptying it forces Windows to re-read everything from disk during the match and creates I/O stutter. Today it only runs under real memory pressure. See the full list and the decisions not to act.

It goes back to your value —
and going back never costs
An optimizer that says “reversible” and restores a generic default is handing back somebody else's machine. It is the first thing you can check for yourself.
- Snapshot of your value. Before changing anything, the app records how it was on your machine. Reverting removes the key if it did not exist before: it does not write a default over it.
- Reverts on shutdown, on close and after a crash. It does not depend on you remembering.
- Reverting is never paid. Deactivating Game Mode, reverting overclock, cancelling an operation and creating a restore point are free on purpose, including with an expired licence. Charging for it would be holding your machine hostage.
- Restore point before anything destructive: registry, services, privacy and bloatware.
- Offline never demotes a paying customer. The licence enters “awaiting revalidation”, never “expired”.
- And what does not revert, we say up front. Game Mode, overclock and auto-tune revert by themselves, always. Deleting files, removing pre-installed apps and shredding files are final operations, which is why they create a restore point first, warn first, and never run unless you tell them to.
It backs off by itself before
the anti-cheat asks.
The automatic back-off
On detecting kernel-level anti-cheat, the app turns off deep sensor reading on its own, so it never flags you. The decision is the app's: you do not have to remember to disable anything before launching a game.
Outside the game process
Maximize does not inject code, does not alter game files and does not read game memory. It works on Windows, from the outside, and it is injection into the process that usually triggers detection, not system configuration.

No cloud, no agent, no usage telemetry. The only service that exists is licensing, and it only exchanges the key. You can verify it with any network monitor.

Free is not a demo
It cleans, measures and diagnoses, and keeps the whole diagnostic side open. A free tier that only shows the problem and locks the fix converts in the short term and destroys reputation in the long one.
The rule we follow
Looking is free. Acting is paid. And what is paid shows up, with the value measured.
Nothing is filtered silently: an action requiring Pro is refused up front, with a notice, never half-executed pretending success. And every limitation carries its counterfactual, so you never conclude “it did not help” without knowing you ran a fraction of the optimizations.

What happens when
you install it
Nothing is applied unless you say so, and whatever Game Mode applies comes back by itself.
- 1. It opens. No sign-up, no card, no trial that expires. Windows will ask for administrator permission: that is what allows it to touch services and system settings.
- 2. It runs the scan. A couple of minutes. It changes nothing, it only measures: what is misconfigured, how many gigabytes you could free, and how much of that is the paid part.
- 3. You choose. Turn on the Basic preset before playing, or build your own selection. When you leave the game, the system goes back to its previous state.
What it does not do
Honesty matters more than a promise here, not least because it is what makes everything else credible.
